STORAGE PREPARATION PROCESS

RPS Storage is dedicated to preserving your vehicle in optimal condition throughout its storage period, employing a meticulous pre-storage preparation process. This comprehensive approach involves several key steps designed to safeguard both the exterior and interior components of your vehicle:

1. Condition Photographed and Recorded:

Before any storage procedures commence, RPS Storage thoroughly documents the vehicle's current condition through photographs and detailed records. This establishes a baseline for comparison upon retrieval and ensures transparency regarding the vehicle's state before storage.

2. Walk Around Video Recorded with Marks Noted:

A comprehensive walk-around video is recorded, capturing all angles of the vehicle. During this process, any existing marks, scratches, or imperfections are carefully noted to provide a complete and accurate account of the vehicle's exterior condition.

3. Unique ID Assigned, Keys Tagged, and Record Created:

Each vehicle entrusted to RPS Storage is assigned a unique identification code. The vehicle keys are tagged, and meticulous records are created, linking the vehicle's unique ID to its storage documentation. This ensures organized and efficient retrieval when you decide to reclaim your vehicle.

4. Interior Protection Applied:

To shield the interior from potential damage during storage, specific protective measures are implemented. The driver's seat, steering wheel, and floor areas are treated with appropriate materials to safeguard against dust, moisture, and any other environmental factors that could affect the interior components.

5. Carefully Washed, Dried, and Vacuumed (or Detailed, etc.):

Prior to storage, the vehicle undergoes a thorough cleaning process. This includes a careful wash to eliminate surface contaminants, followed by a meticulous drying procedure to prevent water-related damage. Additionally, a vacuuming or detailing process may be employed to ensure the interior is spotless.

6. Engine Fluid Levels and Battery Health Checked:

A comprehensive assessment of the vehicle's mechanical components is conducted. This involves checking and adjusting engine fluid levels to maintain optimal performance during storage. The battery's health is also evaluated, and appropriate measures are taken to prevent depletion.

7. Tyre Pressures Increased for Storage:

Recognizing the impact of prolonged storage on tyres, RPS Storage takes the precaution of increasing tyre pressures. This helps prevent flat spotting, a common issue where tyres develop flat areas due to prolonged pressure on a single spot.

8. Brakes Applied to Remove Wash Flash Rust:

To counteract potential flash rust formation on brake discs, the brakes are applied during storage preparation. This proactive measure prevents the accumulation of rust that may occur when the brakes are not engaged for extended periods.

9. Drip Tray Slid Beneath to Monitor Potential Fluid Loss:

As a precautionary measure, a drip tray is strategically placed beneath the vehicle to monitor and detect any potential fluid leaks during the storage period. This ensures early detection and swift resolution of any issues that may arise.

By meticulously following these steps, RPS Storage not only prepares your vehicle for long-term storage but also takes proactive measures to mitigate potential issues that could impact its condition. This commitment to thorough and careful preparation reflects the dedication to maintaining the highest standards of vehicle storage services.
